On January 11, 1971, a woman was born who would have her life

brutally ripped away. Her case went cold for a few years until suddenly, one man started talking

and changed the entire course of the investigation. So if you like your coffee hot but your

your day with a morning cup of murder. Tessa Van Hart was born on January 11, 1971, and raised

in Maryland along with her four other siblings. Described as beautiful and caring, it seemed like Tessa had the perfect life even as she grew

older. She married Walter Van Hart, the pair had two wonderful children, and the couple both worked at a

pizza shop on Shinkhantig Island in Virginia, which is why on January 27, 1994, the 23-year-old packed up a box,

loaded up the order, and set off to deliver pizza at around 745 in the evening. Though he

expected her to be gone for quite a bit, when there was still no sign of his wife hours later, Walter called 911 and reported

her missing. It was a relatively small town, so police immediately began scouring the area

looking for the missing woman. While they were unable to find Tessa herself, they did find

her abandoned car parked behind a vacant home shortly

after midnight. Though this initially seemed like a possible lead, or maybe some sort of good news,

when they looked inside of the car, they found the young mother's body lying dead in the back seat.
