I'm going to tell you a scary story.

Yay!

So this one I think you're really going to enjoy. After we do a few episodes of like

ghost investigation teams, I like to do one where someone is just straight up telling like a true

ghost story to sort of like shake out all the like, well, but did they? The EBP wasn't very, you know, to sort of, because, you know, ghost investigation teams

have to kind of ham it up.

And it's always kind of unclear how ethical any of these people are.

So it's hard to know if any of the stuff they capture is real.

So I like to sort of reground ourselves in people who have truly no reason to lie and tell spooky stories.

So that's what we're going to do.

I use the television show paranormal witness. Ooh!

Which is like a classic, like my ghost story, my haunted house, the haunted a haunting.

Where it's just an interview style and then they do recreations of these really, often really extreme paranormal events. And I chose Brooklyn haunting. Oh, because I've almost never seen one of these shows take place in New York,

which is wild to me, because I assume there's got to be a lot of haunted New York houses and apartments, but I never heard of anyone that I was friends with in New York in the three years that I lived there have a haunted house.

Everyone, the energy just seemed like so frenetic and so many people in so many apartments moving so quickly that like nobody didn't it almost seemed like there

wasn't time there's no there's no time for for for a ghost to get attached to this place because like

if a ghost is like pissed off that someone's in their space literally in a year there's another new

and then in a year that it's like they're they're like oh my god. You know what? I got to get used to this. I'm going to the fucking light. Like, I can't do this. So these events take place over 14 years in Brooklyn, New York. And they start, they must start in like the mid 80s or the early 80s yeah must start in like 1980

and it ends in 1995 ooh so elaine mercato is our main narrator she's an ER nurse she's a mother of two

teenage daughters Karen and Christine.

She's Italian.
