Let's begin with this terrible incident of two National Guard members who were shot for no reason by an individual an alleged shooter who's facing first-degree murder charge.

So, according to reports, tragically,

one National Guard member has passed. The other, I don't know that we know, Joyce,

what the condition of that National Guard member is. Before we do any analysis, we should

offer our condolences to the families. Terrible tragedy.

Whatever you think of the deployment of National Guard members, people should not be shot for no reason.

No, it just, it doesn't matter why they're there.

I mean, this is a senseless crime.

It's interesting to me that this many days later, there's still no established motive,

or at least not a reported motive, although the shooter

is a 29-year-old man who had deployed in Afghanistan with a CIA unit called Zero Unit

that did extremely dangerous work, taking out Taliban-affiliated leaders in areas where it was too
