Recently, I had the opportunity to meet one of my heroes, Dr. Rosaria Butterfield.

She's an author, a speaker, a pastor's wife.

She's a homeschool mom and a former professor of English and women's studies at Syracuse

University in New York.

Dr. Butterfield is the author of several books, including The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert,

which is how I heard about

her the first time. We're going to talk today about what is happening in the church as it relates

to homosexuality and our relationship with it as Christians. We're going to answer questions like,

can you be a celibate gay Christian? What does it look like for the Christians to engage with each other

and with our neighbors as it relates to the truth? This is going to be a no-holdsbired conversation.

I have long admired your work and then following you and then get the opportunity to meet you in person at answers in Genesis and hear you speak woman you

are fire you are straight fire well that gets me in a little trouble Heidi as you might imagine

there there were some people not in the audience but who apparently overheard via the internet

who yep I don't know yep I'm a housewife they heard i don't have a job to lose what can i say if if grandma goes to a women's conference and you get a resounding spanking because you've become a heretic i just going to have to cry to somebody else because i am not joa mama you're just going to have to go cry to yeah you're going to have to cry to someone else because you're not their mama. You are somebody's mama though. I am. I'm very blessed to be somebody's mama. So tell us a little bit about you. Yeah, tell us a little bit about you and kind of, you know, I mean, I want to know kind of what your family right now, but then take us back because you have a pretty extraordinary story. It's a grace story and God is using it, I think,

in just an amazing way right now. So tell us a little bit about yourself and then a little bit
