Sean, it's so great to be back here at the kitchen table, especially with our friend Monica Crowley,

who will give us a lot of insight into the history of the deep state.

Monica, welcome.

Hey, it's so good to be with you guys.

Thank you so much for having me.

Of course. So as you know, Monica served as the Assistant Secretary of Treasury for Public Affairs at the United States Department

of Treasury during the Trump administration. She's also the author of The New York Times bestseller.

What the bleep just happened, the Happy Warriors Guide to the Great American Comeback. I love that

because Monica's always been a happy warrior. She was, of course, an opinion editor at the Washington

Times. And here's what's interesting to me. Earlier in her career, she served as the foreign policy

assistant to the former president Richard Nixon from 1990 until his death in 1994.

And she's also written about her experience doing that.

So with no further ado, our good friend, Monica Crowley, who we saw at the convention,

it was really fun.

I was with my sister who loves your work, loved so much of what you had to say about this topic,

which you've been talking about for a while, but I'm still recovering.
