I have with me Brittany Spanos, Rob Sheffield, Andy Green, and the topic at hand today is the Rock and Roll Hall Fame which has

revealed its 2021 inductees and I believe it is the biggest or one of the

biggest classes ever really interesting class.

So in the performer category, and in the end these distinctions are without a difference because

they're in the Hall of Fame, But in the performer category, Tina Turner.

I think we can take credit with our episode the other day.

I pushed her over the top.

Carol King, the Gogos, Jay-Z, Foo Fighters, and Todd Rungren.

In the Early Influence category, Craft Work, Charlie Patton,

and Gil Scott Herron, it's quite a group.

And the Musical Excellence Award,

El Al-O-Cooljay, Billy Preston, Randy Rhodes,

and the Ahmed Erdigan Award is for Clarence Avant.

And interesting class.

Andy Green, it is an unusually big class.

It seems like they're changing the way they do this.

Yeah, it's a very big class. I think back to 1987 that when they brought in like 20 people or something because they were already thinking about the future. I think with this one it's sort of a make good year that there's a lot of long standing mistakes

that they've made in the past they're trying to fix a bunch of them at once and a big one is

just Carol King and Tina Turner that they're both in, but they're in as part of their former partnerships.

And for Carol, it's as a non-performer.
