And this is Mary Ann Sullivan.

And this week, Marianne will be speaking with Nerva Patel,

who is a passionate animal advocate, a lawyer, a biomedical engineer, and someone who wears many hats within animal advocacy,

including as the chair of the board of Farm Sanctuary, executive producer of a number of films,

including the game changers and the end of medicine, as well as being the Global Policy Fellow

in the Brooks McCormick Jr. Animal Law and Policy Program

at Harvard Law School.

So not really anything impressive.

Yeah, and she also has four kids.

I don't really get how she does all these things.

But she is the real deal. She just does so many

different things. And they're all connected by really what is a passion for animals. And we talk

about that. And we also talk about, you know, her history as a Jane, her family is Jane and

the connections between Jainism and animal advocacy.

Really interesting interview and lovely woman. Very cool. I'm really looking forward to that.

So I know that last week I had an announcement, which was that I am training to be the host of

Weekend Edition at WXXI,

which is Rochester's NPR Station affiliate.

And I did start training, by the way.
