0:34.0	big news. The US is finally detailing how it plans to provide 80 million vaccines to the world.
0:40.4	How are we going to do this? So I've been waiting for this news for a long time. I've asked the White
0:44.4	House about this. Finally, they've said 75% of the first round of vaccines that we share will go
0:51.0	through this global co-vaccine initiative that's backed by the World Health Organization.
0:55.1	And it's basically intended to ensure that every low and middle income country gets some vaccines.
1:00.9	75% will run through that system and then 25% will be us just surging it where we think
1:06.8	it's needed. Some of that will go to our neighbors, Mexico and Canada. Some will go to allies like
1:10.7	South Korea. And then some will go to poor countries that are really in need of vaccines now.
1:17.6	Let's go to a story that our listeners might have missed this week, which is the Israeli
1:21.5	government earlier in the week asking the US for a billion dollars, one billion dollars,
1:26.6	to replenish defense spending used during the recent war with Hamas. Where does the Biden
1:30.8	Administration and where's Congress stand on this? So we'll have to find out soon from the Biden
1:35.8	Administration that were meetings yesterday in Washington between the Israeli Defense Minister
1:40.4	and the US National Security Advisor and Defense Secretary in which this one billion dollar
1:45.6	request was expected to come up. We have heard already from members of Congress some particularly
1:51.1	Republican members have been quite vocally backing this request from Israel saying the US should
1:55.7	stand with our allies who came under attack. But we can expect to hear from some progressive
