I tried to preach a message here about six weeks ago when God first began to initiate the finishing season.

And as happens around here so often, we got interrupted by that wave of revival that comes in.

And I got to about into about two of eight points.

And I held it and God moved on.

I was hearing some other things.

And I had spent the last few days preparing something on

Elijah and Elisha, Gilgal, Bethel, Jordan, and some of that in the finishing season. And I felt

like the Holy Spirit told me to hold on to that, to let that percolate and come back and finish

this message that we started on Jericho. And I taught some of this when I was in California last weekend, and we really had an explosion,

and God began to bring out some new things.

And so some of this will be review, but I'm trying to teach the church everywhere that I go,

that I'm frustrated that the religious setting is the only academic setting

that will not allow review. It so frustrates me that we always have to bring something new.

In any other setting of academia, you would be forced to go through review. You would learn a piece

of information, you would assimilate a piece of

information, then you would drop back and you would begin to process the fact that you had really

done the right thing with that information. We have a tendency in the American culture,

especially in the church, we have a tendency to kind of have that drive-through mentality of,

I already got that now throw me, I don't want you to hear this, I want you to do it.

And if there's one area that the charismatic culture is weak in, it is hearing, believing, and obeying, thus saith the Lord.

You proved it when you just heard about a seven-minute Bible-laced teaching on giving,

and it didn't impact some of you in any way because it's about money,
