ers and friends i'm your host korena blizzy and today i'm going to do something slightly different

for a number of reasons if you've been listening to this podcast if you've been following me at all

you probably know that we've been in the midst of several challenges here on the Central Coast of California.

We've had all of our rain come all at once, hitting hard in December and January.

This resulted in flooding all over Central California.

You even heard about this when I talked about

my friend Helbard Al Cassidy's Farm and Aromas area near Watsonville. Now, all of this

is simply to mean I have something to share. My office flooded. And so I have been in the midst

of trying to piece everything back together, rip out

the carpets, take care of each of these things. And it's also meant that I fell a bit of behind,

in part because of the challenges, in part because of some personal struggles. We've also just

learned as I continue to produce this podcast that our younger son, who does

suffer from some behavioral challenges, is in fact autistic.

And so, as you can imagine, this is posed new stresses.

How do we handle this new challenge?

How do we help him so that he can be his best self?

You will likely hear some content coming through in coming weeks that are focused on what it means to be neurodivergent and how we can each be better citizens.

Perhaps that will even be part of the be better challenge.
