Now if that's true which it is, then the opposite would be true.

Cursed is the nation whose God is not the Lord.

It's God who thought of government.

It's God who establishes nations. It's God who loves

nations so much he put together a book of how a nation is supposed to function so the people can be

blessed. But there are those who say we shouldn't talk about those things. We shouldn't be in politics.

We shouldn't be in government. We shouldn't be in government.

We should keep that out of the church, they say. One guy said to me on one occasion, saying to me,

I just preach Jesus. The implication was I don't get into politics like you do, Jim. I just preach Jesus. And I responded. I said, well, I preach Jesus too. I give an invitation to receive Christ

almost every time I ever preach. But I not only preach Jesus, I preach what Jesus preached.

Jesus preached the kingdom. A kingdom has a king. Jesus is the king, and he's over everything,

including the political realm as well. There isn't anything that he's not over.

In fact, the brilliant prime minister in the early 1900s from the Netherlands,

Abraham Kuyper, who was also a pastor.

He made this famous statement,

there is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence

over which Christ, who is sovereign
