Episode 840 has just begun, and I'm so grateful that we are hanging out together today and we are doing this

great thing called the Potter's Cast. I hope your weekend was amazing. My weekend was also a

great weekend. I had a little bit more progress on the house. As you know, our house was flooded,

or you may not know, but I'm letting you know now. Our house was flooded a while back,

and now we are putting it all back together again. And with that comes kind of some special

remodel stuff that we decided to do.

And one thing we're doing is we're tiling the bathroom walls, the shower that we are putting into the hallway bathroom.

We put in a new tub, new, we tiled the floors.

And now I'm about to tile the walls in the shower room area, the shower portion, the tub, and all that.

But before I would do that, I thought, well, I'll just put tile up and we'll be good,

because it's got cement hardybacker.

What I didn't know was that that is not waterproof. In fact, it will absorb water. It will hold water and it will let water run through it.

If you were to have a pool of nothing but hardy back and just fill it up, it would drain right through it. Yes. So I discovered that one of the things, if you want to

keep your wood to be on the other side of the hardy back, you know, protected, then you've got to

keep water off of it. So this weekend, I got some of that stuff called Red Guard, and I painted the walls with Red Guard.

And the first time through, man, it was hard work because it was just like not sticking well.

It was just like, ugh, and I got it.
