On today’s podcast, I had Chris Jefferson on out of Virginia. Chris is a real estate investor who has been doing it for over 10 years. He had a really cool story! He talked about how he started in 2008 when everything just hit the fan, and he had to figure out what to do when he dropped out of college to pursue it! Along with that, we go through his story about starting as a fix and flipper, and then how he got into new development. We also talked about how he transitioned into wholesaling and how it saved his business from his cashflow problems. It was really cool to hear! After that, we talked about how he is building a huge education space and platform for students who are just getting started in real estate investing. We actually dived deep into mindset on this episode. I don’t get a lot of episodes where we go into mindset, but we had some really interesting things we discusses towards the end of the episode. Chris Jefferson left college in 2008. He first tried some wholesaling, but it was hard to get into that space during the time. He pivoted into fixing and flipping in 2010. He remembered the tax credit for first time home buyers, so he focused on that market and targeted those types of homes. To scale his process, he and his team created a model to follow. Instead of making each house different, they classified each house in one of three categories and followed their already made procedure. In 2015, Chris got into new construction because he bought a house that was falling apart! He continued to fix and flip and be involved in new construction projects.

Chris Jefferson and I talk about our mindsets for a lot of today’s episode. Many investors set monetary goals, but we discuss how we are constantly wanting to grow. We discuss how we grow our mindsets through meditation, journaling, visualization, etc.
