1:25.5	He served in Army counterintelligence with deployments to Iraq and a few other places around the world.
1:28.8	And he is currently the chief security officer at Coinbase, which is a crypto company, crypto wallet company. Crypto company. Crypto company.
1:34.6	And we'll get in all of that in this interview. Philip, thank you for joining us.
1:38.3	Thanks for having me. Yeah, absolutely, man. So, you know, the first question I always ask people is
1:43.7	about their origin story. And yours is a little
1:45.9	interesting. Like, tell us how you kind of grew up and what that path was that took you towards
1:50.4	the Army eventually. Yeah, sure. So I've, I mean, I think for me, a fairly unique story of how I got
1:57.9	here. So I was, before I ever went in the military, I was software engineer.
2:03.5	You know, I was that nerd in my parents' basement. Our group of Northern California,
2:08.4	we had a basements. It was a metaphorical basement. But it was a basement nonetheless.
2:13.3	And taught my top to code, you know, loved everything about computers and the internet and all of it.
2:18.3	Ended up, you know, starting a few small businesses in high school, went to college, got super bored, dropped out, joined a startup.
2:27.3	And then 9-11 happened.
