0:45.7	some pretty devastating news early on Monday morning, a powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake,
0:52.9	struck Turkey and Syria, leaving thousands of people dead, Itheospeo, and so many more
0:59.3	injured.
1:00.3	As rescue efforts continue, officials are continuing to update the death toll.
1:05.6	And many victims have been using social media to call for help and to track down loved
1:10.7	ones.
1:12.1	So this earthquake was one of the strongest to hit the region in more than 100 years,
1:18.2	and it was followed by dozens of powerful aftershocks, including another 7.5 magnitude
1:25.4	earthquake, and the videos and the photos of the destruction have been so devastating
1:32.1	to see just heartbreaking, and our hearts are with everyone affected.
1:36.9	Well, we're sending a lot of love and light to all of the people and families in Turkey
1:42.8	and Syria.
1:44.7	And I'm just really thankful that in the thick exists because you really just feel like
1:49.6	a safe space to process difficult news like this.
