Every Sunday, there’s a binational church service at Friendship Park, which straddles the U.S.-Mexico border. We sent two reporters to attend the church service — one on the U.S. side and one in Mexico — to learn more about how changes to the U.S. border have affected the park and the community. 0:22.0	But today, you're going to hear us together in the same place, which was kind of an unusual

0:30.2	So where are we right now?
0:32.4	So we are in San Diego, and we are at a parking lot.
0:37.6	And today, I'm about to go to Tijuana.

0:45.7	I'm an international adventure.
0:49.7	We're going to a place called Friendship Park, El Barque de la Mista.
0:53.8	It's actually between the US and Mexico border, in between two fences.
0:59.2	The families who were separated by the border used to be able to come here and pressed
1:03.3	up on either side of these metal bars along the Mexican side of the border.
1:08.3	They could see their families and spend time together without actually having to cross
1:13.0	the border and go through customs.
1:15.8	The park has been closed since 2020, and families cannot me face to face anymore.
1:22.8	But there is a weekly outdoor church service that takes place every Sunday.
1:28.2	It is a binaural service, which means that there is a pastor on the Mexican side and
1:32.9	a pastor on the American side.
1:34.9	And today, there is also going to be a reporter on the American side.
