I came ready to preach today, so I hope you're with me today, church, but I am, I'm excited,

we're in this collection of weeks that we're stringing together to preach the message,

the secret to a good life, the secret to a good life, because we live in a world where everybody

is constantly trying to trade the good for the great, and we're realizing that that's not always

the best deal, that oftentimes when we started out with good, that was not meant to be a stepping

stone, that was not meant to be a consolation prize, that is hitting the jackpot, to be given

what is good, the first blessing God ever spoke was to call something He created good, and so we're

rediscovering the power of good, and we're learning to lean into what He has given to us that cannot

be upgraded, that doesn't need to be improved, right? We walk around the stores, have a grocery store,

and everything's double strength, new formula, 173 percent stronger, right? Like toothpaste,

so full of bleach, your teeth will just fall out a second, you brush for them, like everything's

like, it can't always be, two X, it doesn't always need, and we're learning if you were with us

last week to sort of look back to the old light bulb that doesn't need to be tweaked with,

because the new thousand hour burnout is not where we want to be, we want to be at that million plus

hour that century light bulb, the light of the world that Jesus has given to us, and so we're

realizing that there's some stuff to be had in this life that doesn't need to be tinkered with,

because as it was created originally, it was perfected, we're learning to love what God calls

good, and if you have a Bible, Micah 6 and Genesis 18 is where we're going to be today,

I want to preach to you a message that I'm calling friends with benefits, friends with benefits,

what I want all the teenagers listening to not have, I want to preach to you today, friends with

benefits. Micah chapter 6 verse 8 is really the theme for this whole week, and next week, and this
