Welcome to the first ever edition of the Friends from Work movie club.

I am your host, Kyle Skona will,

and today I'm going to be flying solo on this movie club.

Thank you so much to everyone out there who's been listening to this podcast,

and especially thank you to you, Friends from Work plus subscribers,

who have helped make this possible.

This is something we've been waiting for for so freaking long and I can't wait to do it.

This movie club was a fun idea Robbie and I had and it's going to be evolving, I think, as we do it and as we go.

One of the ways I see this evolving is I eventually want to bring you listeners

into this live, not just via the comments. I have them pulled up now, which is fun, but I want to make

it a club where eventually I can get some video chat going where I can bring you guys in and see

your beautiful faces and we can chat about these movies together.

And then I have some fun guests lined up as well.

And so I think having a guest come on and have them choose a movie will stretch us as far as what movies we're watching, get me out of my comfort zone.

And I think it'll be really fun to talk about.

I wanted to start with parasite because it was so

different, as you guys know. And I saw a parasite in 2019 when it came out. And I remember walking out

of the theater being like, I think that was unbelievable. I couldn't stop thinking about what I had just witnessed for so long.

It was one of those movies that bothered me forever and stuck with me.

And so I wanted to kind of revisit this movie.

I know it's different with how tense it is and that it's international film with

subtitles and all that.
