Summary

Welcome to our new Wednesday series of transformational stories from our new Friday Workbox Certified Organizers! Organize 365® recently upgraded all of the Business Friday Workbox Systems and we are so excited to share the stories of the certified organizers who helped us make these improvements!

On Wednesdays, I normally get to talk with members of the Organize 365 community as they share the challenges, progress, missteps, and triumphs along their organizing journey. You can see and hear transformation in action.

Today, I am sharing my conversation with Jennifer Butler. Jennifer is one of our newest Friday Workbox Certified Organizers. Jennifer brings experience as a parent of a child with a serious medical illness, and as an entrepreneur. She also has experience with autism, ADHD, and living internationally with her family. She brings all of this life experience and knowledge to her services.

You can find Jennifer at House of Order, on Instagram, and Facebook.

expert, and motivational speaker, Lisa Woodruff. This podcast will help you embrace progress

with you. So let's get started. Jennifer, welcome to the organized 365 podcast. Thank you.

0:34.5

So how did you first find me in organized 365? Lisa, it was so long ago. I don't even remember

0:41.6

for sure. We've been friends for a long time. I know it was back towards the beginning. It was

0:48.2

around 2012, 2013. Wow. Yeah, it was during 40 weeks, one whole house. Oh my. So I probably

0:57.6

happened upon your blog first. Might have been Facebook, but I guess there was a blog, right?

1:03.5

Yeah, that was the, like, yeah, the podcast didn't start, I think until 2015. Yeah. So we were living

1:11.5

in Germany at the time. I had four kids. My youngest was just starting to go to preschool,

a couple hours a day, and I was looking for answers, looking for solutions for my cluttered home.

1:26.3

I waited so long to have a few hours to myself, and it didn't last long, but you know, I found

1:32.4

you. I found a couple of other really, you know, inspiring, helpful people. Sign up for all the

1:36.9

email lists. So yeah, that's where I started. And then it got overwhelming. It got intimidating.

1:46.0

You know, I didn't have as much time and energy as I was hoping I would. So eventually I unsubscribe

1:52.2

from all the lists. I, you know, I deleted everything to step back and kind of stop trying

1:59.9

for a little while. So yeah, that's how I came across the first time. How old was your oldest in

2:07.8

2012? Um, in middle school, about 14. Okay. So you were firmly in that grade school middle school.

2:16.0

Yeah. Yeah. No babies, but no drivers. Right. Exactly. Yes. And everything's different in Germany.

2:22.8

So my youngest, yeah, she started at a German kindergarten or preschool. So I was excited to have

2:28.5

a little bit of time. So. And why were you in Germany? Were you with the military or just a work

2:35.4

placement? My husband works for the military. He works for the Department of Defense. So he's
