Hurricane Adalia hit Florida with unprecedented force Wednesday.

The not-so-lovely lady made landfall as a category 3 storm over Keaton Beach along Florida's

western Big Bend coast after briefly ballooning to a category 4.

Adalia boasted winds over 125 miles per hour and 16 foot storm surges, bringing significant

damage to the sunshine state before continuing her destructive path across Georgia and

the Carolinas.

Yesterday afternoon, Adalia went back out to sea as a tropical storm.

Hundreds of Florida residents have been plucked out of flood waters, with some residents

having to swim out of their windows to get to safety, and over 300,000 people lost power

in Adalia's wake.

Three deaths have been attributed to the storm.

Two Florida men lost their lives in weather-related car accidents, and one Georgia man was killed

by a falling tree.
