Summary

This episode was due to be released last Friday (9th September) but we chose to delay it to this Friday as a mark of respect for the Queen's passing.

September always feels like the second January for us, so Zo & G open up the conversation about a new chapter.

What do they want to change going forwards, and we hear from you! We also answer your questions on better bedtime routines for us parents, fitting in me-time and self-care, facing fears, joining the 6am (or 5am!) club, exercise and more.

0:09.7

put it out this Friday instead. So we really hope you enjoyed today's episode and thanks again for listening.

Hello and welcome to Made by Mum as the podcast. I'm Zoe and I'm Georgia and we're here talking

0:22.0

all things parenthood, you know, the real conversations, tips and tricks, products we love and brands

0:27.7

we can't live without. Let's get into it. I've dried my eyes and I'm back from dropping

0:33.3

kit off for his first everyday at school. Oh my god, what a big moment that was. Oh my god,

0:38.1

do you feel really emotional? I feel, I mean, in short, yes, I think, I think, you know, I think I'd

0:44.8

be lying if I said that it didn't sort of hit me this morning, but more, not because I'm worried

0:48.9

about him because he's so kind of ready for this journey and he's been talking about it and obviously

0:54.4

as I said last week, he's been getting into his school uniform virtually every single day. Well,

0:57.9

they'd be like, is it today? But I think for me, it's more about how I feel about life and how

1:03.6

quickly I feel like it's going and I know we always have these conversations about, you know,

1:07.4

that it just suddenly starts speeding up and Eila, you know, she can be 10 next year, she's talking

1:11.9

about getting a mobile phone and you know, she's talking about when can I go to school, you know,

1:15.8

when can I go to school by myself? I can get the bus and it just seems to be speeding up. I really

1:20.3

want to press pause, you know, we've had so many discussions, Dozer and I about really slowing down

1:25.7

all the planning, you know, like we need to do this this weekend. What have we got going on the

1:29.2

following weekend? Because not only does it make me feel quite anxious, but also I feel like

1:33.0

you're never really just staying in the moment. I know, I know, and actually that is something that

1:38.5

I've been thinking about. We always talk about like September being more of a new year, don't we

1:42.4

than January? Yeah. And I, and honestly, I've already got that like feeling of like, oh my God,
