We're going to begin with the deadly storm that slammed the northeast with torrential rain and flooding. Ginger, you have the latest forest. Good morning. You know, I looked at the rainfall estimates just to make sure I was like, I don't think it was that much. It was really only one to two plus inches of rain. It's just that it fell so fast. And then it challenged the drainage systems in New York City. And so it caused some major problems and did become deadly. I had a lot of people asked too, was this the

hurricane? No, Melissa is still a hurricane and it's way over the open waters. We have this low

pressure system and behind it today is going to be all about the wind. This morning a deadly

storm sweeping through the northeast.

It made Brooklyn a flood!

At least two people killed in New York after more than two inches of rain fell fast.

A 39-year-old man dead after his basement apartment flooded in Brooklyn.

Divers from the fire department attempting to save him, but it was too late.

Another man, a 43-year-old,

found dead in a boiler room. Every single time when it rains, my heart and pressure goes up,

because I know what to expect. One tree in Queens snapping at the route, crashing onto a Jeep.

Like if a tornado just came and hit, and in like second, the tree just fell down and

the roots came up.

And below ground, commuters dodging water in a flooded subway station, stairs transforming

into waterfalls.
