discipline today from Proverbs chapter 3, which is just such a rich passage of scripture.

I hope that you have thought a bit about the verses we talked

about yesterday. And I really hope you've memorized them, honestly. Trust in the Lord with all

thine heart. Lean not unto thine own understanding in all thy ways acknowledge him. I think sometimes

it's easy to tell other people to acknowledge God in their ways.

But their ways are not your ways. And acknowledge God in your ways, your choices, what God has put in your life.

And the Bible says, and, he shall direct thy paths.

So God doesn't promise to reveal all of your destinations.

Sometimes I feel like we misread the Bible and think, well, if I just trust the Lord,

then God's going to show me exactly where I'm supposed to go and exactly what I'm supposed to do.

And God's much more concerned about you doing what's right on the journey and guiding your each and every step and obeying him

day by day than he is necessarily about telling you where you're going to be one year from now,

what job you're going to have five years from now, what job you're going to have five years from now,

or who you're going to marry two years from now, or whenever.

And the idea is that God wants us to live a day-by-day face.
