Today we'll be looking at meeting minutes from the Federal Reserve, why Twitter shares are down, and a guilty plea from U.S. President

Trump's former personal lawyer Michael Cohen.

The Federal Reserve is gearing up for another quarter point rise in interest rates in December.

Yesterday the Fed released minutes from its last meeting in early November.

The minutes showed that almost all policymakers expected to push

through more gradual rate rises if inflation stays near 2%, and unemployment stays low.

Official stress that policy was not on a preset course of tightening, and that they would

move to a more flexible approach and react quickly to incoming economic data.

The main U.S. stock indices ended a three day

winning streak after investors digested the meeting minutes. Both the

S&P 500 and the NASDAQ closed in the red at the end of trading in New York.

Investors are also focusing on US President Donald Trump's meeting with Chinese President

She Jin Ping this weekend at the G20 summit.

But analysts are not expecting a major breakthrough

between the two countries in the ongoing trade war.
