from hoary county h h o r r r why hory county south Carolina a man accused of firing a weapon caused a polling place in Horry County to be locked

down during Tuesday's statewide primary elections. Online records show that 36 year old Cody Atkins of Galavance Ferry was arrested

and faces a weapons charge following the incident.

According to a police report obtained by the news, officers with the Hori County Police

Department were called to Nichols Highway at around 12.30 PM after reports of a shot being fired. Public information shows

the only polling place on the road was Midland Elementary School. Uh-oh. Dispatchers were reportedly told one shot was fired near the school by the suspect

later identified as Atkins. He was also described as wearing an all black ninja style costume, wielding a sword with a revolver-type handgun in his waistband.
