But first, let's get to some news.

President Trump has asked the Supreme Court to intervene and allow the Alien Enemies Act to continue his deportations.

In an emergency appeal filed this afternoon, the Justice Department argued that a lower

court judge unconstitutionally intruded on President's national security power by barring

Trump from using the two-century-old Alien Enemies Act to swiftly deport Venezuelans, the

administration says, are members of Trenda Agua.

Almost two weeks ago, the Trump administration flew more than 200 Trenda Agua members

from the U.S. to El Salvador, where they were put in an anti-terrorism prison,

The U.S. District Judge James Bosberg ordered further deportations under the Alien

Enemies Act to temporarily be halted while litigation over the issues continues.
