Okay, let's go. It's Friday, May 31st, 2024, the last day of the month.

It's first thing with Kevin Mano, thanks for being here, quick look at all the headlines,

and it starts right now.

And... And it always starts with the top story, the biggest story of the year broke yesterday afternoon.

Former President Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts in that hush money trial.

The jury in Manhattan didn't take long to reach their conclusion.

He is now the first former U.S. President ever to be convicted of felonies.

And he still faces three other pending criminal cases as well.

Immediately following the announcement,

he spoke to reporters and called it a disgrace and a rig trial.

The question now is what happens next.

He's still totally free and clear to run for president.

He's actually set to be formally confirmed

as the GOP's nominee at the Republican National Convention

in July.

That gets started July 15th, and his sentencing was scheduled for just a few days prior,

July 11th.

That's the date of his sentencing.

He could potentially face jail time time a maximum of four years for

each count but that is highly unlikely. Trump is expected to appeal this verdict.

All right okay on to sports here. Unfortunately, we found out this week the gymnast Gabby Douglas is not going to be

representing the U.S. and the Olympics later this summer.
