0:12.2	Just before this recording at 6 p.m. EST, Russia and Ukraine temporarily agreed to create
0:17.2	safe corridors where ceasefires would be observed, so that civilians could evacuate and humanitarian

0:24.8	According to a Kremlin statement yesterday, Vladimir Putin pledged to achieve his goals
0:28.4	in Ukraine no matter what, those are his words, and said that the war is going as they
0:32.9	planned.
0:33.9	And in fact, Russian troops have been making gains in the south of Ukraine, and the
0:37.9	critical port city of Mariupol is currently surrounded by troops and running out of electricity
0:42.9	and water.
0:44.4	The Russian holds on the city of Kerson, and its 30,000 citizens is precarious, with the
0:49.2	Ukrainian Defense Ministry denying that they had control of the city.
0:53.0	Right now, Russian forces are occupying the government administration building, though
0:56.7	the Ukrainians maintain that the local government is still operating, and that the Russians
1:00.8	are only using the city as a temporary base.
1:03.9	And the notorious 40-mile Russian convoy is still 20 miles away from Kiev, desperate for
1:09.1	food and gas.
1:10.7	The UN Refugee Agency says that over a million people have fled Ukraine so far, and they
1:15.3	are now estimating that up to 5 million people will leave Ukraine, which is up from their
1:19.7	estimate of 4 million just days ago.
