Nine soldiers died in a helicopter crash late Wednesday night.

Two H-H-60 Black Hawk medical evacuation aircraft were conducting routine nighttime training

exercises when they went down some 30 miles northwest of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, just

over the Tennessee, Kentucky border.

There were no survivors.

The soldiers stationed in Fort Campbell were part of the 101st Airborne Division, the Army's

only air assault division.

Brigadier General John Luba said little is known about the crash's cause, including

if the helicopters collided.

Investigators from Fort Rucker, Alabama will travel to examine the crash site.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin called the accident a tragic loss, and Kentucky
