Hey, friends, welcome back in Matthew 13 today and another familiar

passage that we call one of the kingdom parables. Jesus is in Copernium, which was his adopted

hometown, and he's instructing people about the nature of the kingdom.

And many are not understanding because there are those opposing the ministry of Jesus.

And yet his disciples, they are all ears.

And Jesus is going above and beyond because he's not only giving them the simple truth of these parables, but then he's coming back and explaining them so that there's no chance for misunderstanding on the part of these

disciples. And yet they need reminders because we're going to find that even though they received

this special revelation and this careful

teaching from Jesus, they get confused more often than not and forget and need to have

things reiterated. And even after these kingdom parables were given by Jesus, if you study

the Bible chronologically, within one day,

they were already exhibiting a lack of faith. So take heart, my friend, that even the disciples

were hard-headed and stiff-necked and had short-term memory loss when it came to spiritual things. And it kind of puts us
