It's the middle of the night in a small town on the Jersey shore.

This is a special report from ABC News. I'm Brian Clark. As the U.S. and Israel continue their

seventh day of military action in the Middle East, President Trump told ABC, these attacks on Iran would

continue for as long as he says. ABC's Ian panel has the latest from Tel Aviv.

While not ruling out boots on the ground, the US hasn't announced any such plans.

But Secretary Pete Higg says, saying the attacks on Iran are about to surge dramatically,

with the stockpile of munitions ready for deployment.

Iran is hoping that we cannot sustain this, which is a really bad miscalculation.

And President Trump saying the US and Israel's operation to destroy Iran's military capabilities far ahead of schedule.

Israel today also striking Lebanon targeting the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia.

But gas prices are higher, up an average in the U.S. of 11 cents per gallon, or 11% over the last week.
