Summary

This Friday episode begins with a quick check-in on some of the tournament action this week before transitioning to a mailbag. Andy and Brendan put the call out for questions minutes before recording, and they run through a series of both golf and non-golf queries on the fly. Then the second half is a Precision Pro Flashback Friday on a past Las Vegas Invitational, featuring 3-time winner Jim Furyk, who beat Jonathan Kaye, a “bad boy” rebel on Tour. They discuss some of the amusing circumstances around that 1999 Vegas Invitational, Furyk, and Kaye, including the details around his 2-month suspension and multiple run-ins with both fans and the commissioner.

Greetings and welcome to a Friday edition of the shotgun start. It is October 8th, Andy. How we doing?

0:42.6

Brendan, I'm doing okay. I'm worn out. It's been a long couple weeks. I honestly don't remember the last time I didn't wake up at least an hour before sunrise and it started to take a toll.

0:58.6

The RV was just the tip of the iceberg, the start of the stretch on the road and up early and all that.

1:05.6

Actually, I could tie it back. I got a couple days at home after the RV, but not enough. A couple of early warnings those days.

1:15.6

It's supposed to be when the golf media rests, but the season just never ends. There's always work to be done.

1:22.6

Drone videos, courses, places to be, things to shoot. So you're worse for the wear out on the road, road weary.

1:29.6

So this is going to be a Friday summer hours. We've got a flashback. We're going to do a little mailbag. I asked a friend of the program, Aiman Lynch. I was just toying with him before we started recording.

1:37.6

If you wanted to come on and talk about anything, try to help him out, increase his profile, his brand awareness. He told me to fuck off.

1:44.6

So it's just going to be a freewheeling Friday episode. I don't feel like talking about Las Vegas, Triners. Flashback will touch on that.

1:52.6

Sun came, lead. He shot a 61. Whether it was, you know, with the aid of some, you know, unscrupulous drops or not, I cannot say, but he shot a 61.

2:03.6

John Rahm is right back in it. Shot a 63 and the Spanish open, Ross McAllen.

2:11.6

Remember that guy, he's just like scraping it around the Italian open. Looks like he's like, he's like 38. Looks like he's 68.

2:20.6

Just weathered from packs of cigarettes and things like that. He leads a 10 under unspain. And at Mountain Ridge, which was actually a delightful Friday hour, I should say Thursday afternoon watch.

2:32.6

Ginger and co right back at it again after the close loss in New Jersey last week shoots an eight under 63.

2:39.6

Those are your first round updates. I know everybody's clamoring for those here on Thursday night.

2:44.6

What did I call it? What did I call Mountain Ridge? I don't know. Whatever I said. But yeah, it was, that was a good afternoon watch. They're suspended late.

2:52.6

I guess there's an airport issue going on there. Just airlines buzzing in and out. Really loud.

2:59.6

Someone who was on the ground, I think no, it's, it's, who was on the ground today said, they're be backing off their ball all the time on on Sunday, the leaders because it's not like a persistent noise.

3:11.6

It's like they're coming in hot and taken off quickly. So airport impacts at the LPGA this week. All right. What do we have any mail back questions here?
