Welcome back, friends. Glad you joined us for this episode of Everyday Truth in Second King's chapter number two today.

We're in verse 12.

Elijah has made an auspicious exit.

He has ascended to heaven in a whirlwind accompanied by chariots of fire.

I mean, what a spectacle that must have been.

And there was Elisha watching all of it.

And can you imagine what that must have been like for him to be standing there and watching

that?

And then to realize that Elijah had told him,

Elijah, if you see me go, then the promise that I have given you that you will receive the

inheritance of my ministry will take place. So all of that's happening. You might say that this is a spiritual highlight

in the life of Elisha. But what you have experienced in your life and what I've experienced in my life

and what Elisha experienced here is this, that following great highlights, often we have valleys of suspicion, of opposition,
