Or is there a better way and a more definitive way to measure the health of a church?

Welcome back, friends, to today's episode.

I want to apologize for yesterday. I fully intended to move a little bit more

quickly than I did yesterday, but we only covered one verse. So let's jump right in today and make

some headway. I hope that you understand now that the pastor whom God has given you, although he is not perfect

by any stretch of the imagination, that that office of pastor-teacher is one of the gifts

that Jesus gave to the local church.

And so in that sense, your pastor who teaches the word of God has that

accountability before the Lord to give you the word of God. He also has an oversight responsibility.

We talked about the word bishop. And he has a responsibility to be that that elder, mature believer, that counselor that speaks into the

lives of the people in his flock. So we looked how those words are used interchangeably.

Remember, we looked at First Peter chapter 5, Acts chapter 20, and we could spend much time looking at 1st Timothy 3, Titus chapter 1 and other

passages but I hope that we've covered enough for you to see that God has ordained certain
