Live from ABC News headquarters in New York City, this is Good Morning America.

It is Friday, and this morning we have the second stop on our tour of 50 states in 50 weeks.

It's the second state in the Union. Ike Gajachi is in Pennsylvania this morning. He's visiting the oldest operating drive-in movie theater in the world.

We're going to get to that but begin with the wildfire evacuations at Grand Canyon National Park. The White Sage Fire has burned about a thousand acres so far. Ginger is right here.

So this is a fire in far northern Arizona and the folks around Jacob Lake and the visitors to the

north rim of the Grand Canyon got the Go evacuation order last night.

Overnight, the White Sage Fire prompting urgent evacuations at the Grand Canyon.

The white sage fire forcing the closure of the north rim as it's burning more than 1,000 acres so

far.

Grand Canyon National Park is under an extreme heat warning through the weekend,

with temperatures expected to reach 115 degrees in low elevations. Hiking in the area is

discouraged during the midday hours when it's the hottest. Meanwhile, the Midwest is bracing

for more severe storms. After more than 130 severe storm reports from Colorado to Northern Illinois.

All of this in the wake of flash flooding in New England.
