And we always start with the top story again this morning.

The top story everywhere is the tragedy near Washington, D.C. that crash.

As of this morning, 40 bodies have been recovered from the scene.

It was believed pretty early in the day yesterday that there were no survivors.

Crews are still searching the Potomac River.

That will most likely continue for a while.

President Trump held a briefing on it yesterday morning.

His new defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, also spoke and said that a mistake was made

in what was otherwise a routine tranny exercise for that Black Hawk helicopter.

According to the FAA, staffing in the air traffic control tower at Reagan National Airport

was working two positions at the time and investigation is obviously ongoing among those on board

there were several figure skaters figure skating coaches and their families they were flying home from the National Development Camp in Wichita, where the national championships

recently took place.

There were also reportedly two Russian world champions on board.

All total, there are 14 members of the figure skating community.

It is now one of the deadliest plane crashes in U.S. history.
