First thing with Kevin Mano, real quick look at all the headlines.

There's a lot going on today, so let's get to it.

And we always start with the top story.

We're learning more about the 17-year-old suspect in this week's shooting at Anniak High School here in Nashville.

First, it's come out that the school's gun detection software failed to detect his weapon.

He apparently wasn't close enough to the cameras to get an accurate read and activate the alarm.

We also know that he live-streamed himself inside the school minutes before opening

fire.

It's also come out that authorities found, quote, very concerning online writings and social

media posts showing a history of violent and hateful beliefs.

They also reportedly found a detailed plan of the shooting and a map of the school.

It's just, it's crazy. It's absolutely tragic. Everything about this. I hate it. Again, in addition to

the gunman, a 16-year-old girl lost her life at that school Wednesday morning. Jocelyn Coria

Escalante. That's the name we need to know and remember.

All right, okay, on to sports. First, another update on the Australian Open, still going on.

An American player Madison Keys is in the final round. Yes, she's going to face Arena

Sabalanka from Belarus. They play tomorrow. Let's go. That's cool.

Also, early this morning, American player Ben Sheldon was scheduled to face an Italian player in the semifinals.

And right now, as I'm recording, they're still playing. So I don't know. I don't know if Ben's going to advance to the finals or not, but fingers crossed.
