On this date in 1987, so 35 years ago,

Aretha Franklin became the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Respect.

Always start with our top stories, and I don't know why. I just, I think the stuff is so cool.

Last week, we had that big story about the guy that received a pig hard in a revolutionary transplant.

And yesterday, we found out about a pig to human kidney transplant. The pig people are taken over.

I think this is huge. The kidney transplant actually happened back in September,

but the info is just published yesterday in the American Journal of Transplantation. I read it all the time.

Ethical questions will certainly come into play here, and I'm no expert, but I do know that 100,000 patients

are on the national transplant waiting list, and 17 of them die every day waiting for donor organs.

So if I ever find myself on that list, and you need to give me like, like, monkey intestines or whatever to keep me alive,

you have my blessing. And real quick, I looked into it. The guy that got the pig hard last week is still

kicking. He's breathing on his own. And the doctor that led the transplant just said that the heart

has quote more than exceeded our expectations. That's great. Another winter storm is making headlines.

Today, winter storm Jasper made it a rough night with a mixture of snow, freezing rain, and sleet

in the parts of Texas. I heard that in a 36 hour span, Texas went from 80 degrees in sunny to an

all-out ice storm. The Carolinas and Virginia are also in the midst of it with weather warnings

lasting through tomorrow morning. Be safe, everybody. In sports, the big story this weekend will be all of the

divisional playoff games in the NFL, the Titans and the bangles, the Packers and the 49ers. Those games are

happening tomorrow, the Buccaneers and the Rams, the Chiefs and the Bills. Those are happening

Sunday after this weekend will be down to four teams. Yesterday, I said that NBC wouldn't be sending any

reporters to the Beijing Olympics today. It's ESPN. They made the same call. And this one's kind of creepy,
