This time with Mr. John Daglell, John, how are you?

It's typically crochet to open podcast saying I'm doing great,

so I'm just gonna take that script and say I'm doing great Josh,

how are you doing?

I kind of hate that, you know, we moved away from I'm doing good to I'm doing well. I feel like I'm I'm just a horrible

English speaker if I say I'm doing good and then I feel like I'm I am too formal when I say I'm doing well

I'm trying to find a middle ground here. Yeah and being brought up in the south like

small talk is kind of what I do not even on purpose it's just how I grew up so whenever I hear

someone say I'm making it like I'm making it is basically the equivalent to I'm doing terrible

and so you then have to ask like the rest of their day or like outside of that.

It's very strange. I know you're from Texas and you moved out to California.

How apparent was the change in small talk because moving from North Carolina to Connecticut, it is drastically different.

And I kind of am used to it up here now, but I notice it more and more when I go home, like checking out of a Rite Aid, I sit there and have a five minute conversation where up here, they can't wait to kick me out of the grocery store and send me on my way.

So I moved out. I've lived in Santa Monica now for about three and a half four years, but I've lived in several different places, both outside the country and in states.

And I will say the biggest thing, the biggest change whenever the first time,

not even in California, but when I moved out of Texas,

was wearing headphones to the grocery store.
