today starts right now. And we always start with the top story yesterday. It was the deadline

set by the Trump administration to try and push some federal

employees out of their jobs. They were offering a resignation program to more than two million

workers. Do you want to keep your job or resign? Again, the deadline was yesterday and hours before

we got there, a federal judge temporarily blocked it. The judge said the legality of it was questionable

and he said a hearing

for Monday to hear arguments from both sides. So the deadline has been extended until at least

Monday afternoon. And the president's plan was orchestrated by Elon Musk, who is also

drawing quite a bit of controversy over his involvement in the federal government. The White

House calls him a special government employee, but opponents have concerns.

Some House Democrats are pushing for a probe into his team.

They want to investigate potential national security threats.

First, I just want to mention that Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills won his first NFL MVP award last night at the NFL honors show.
