Okay, guys, we are going to move a bit quicker today because I want to

cover this last section all in one swath, and there are about 15 verses. So let's jump right in.

Matthew chapter 7, we're in the final section of Jesus teaching the sermon on the mount.

He's warning yesterday we talked about entering that straight gate. Consider the choices you make.

Where are you going? What road are you on? But now verse number 15, beware of false prophets, which come to you

in sheep's clothing, but inwardly, they're ravening wolves. You shall know them by their fruits.

Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs or thistles? Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt

tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit. Neither can a corrupt

tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast

into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits,

ye shall know them. So Jesus warns them, that's what this section primarily is, about

future teaching that they will hear. So Jesus is teaching, and he's giving them kingdom principles

for his kingdom. Jesus is the king. But he's letting them know

that are going to become people that style themselves as those that are speaking for God.

That's what a prophet is, one that speaks to man for God. So be aware of them. Beware of false prophets. Just because someone says,
