The Core 4. The four headlines you need to know. In early January, I told you how the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was suing Capital One for allegedly cheating consumers out of $2 billion in

interest. And now, about six weeks later, the government watchdog agency dropped the lawsuit.

And that's not the only lawsuit they've dropped. The CFPB also dropped cases against other

major financial institutions. Why the sudden change?

Well, all of those original lawsuits came through during the Biden administration. And in recent

weeks, the agency has been dealing with a lot of chaos, like 100 workers specifically from
