Yesterday was the second day of the House impeachment manager's prosecution arguments

that Trump should be convicted for incitement of insurrection.

To make their case, the manager's brought evidence of Trump's history of inciting violence

since 2015, including Charlottesville.

They also included the Capitol rioters' own statements before, during and after the attack,

which made clear that the attack was done for Donald Trump and to fulfill his wishes.

Representative Ted Lu pointed his history of public speeches and rallies, specifically

his repeated calls to fight, stop the steal, and never surrender.

Representative Joe Ngoos pointed out that Trump never condemned the attack, never condemned

the attackers, said he loved them, and never said he was sending help while the attack

was underway.

He showed video footage from January 6th of Republicans asking Trump to call off the attackers

because they knew that he was the only one who could.

Representative Jamie Rasking closed the arguments by saying that,

If you don't find this a high crime and misdemeanor today, you have set a new terrible standard

for presidential misconduct in the United States of America.

They closed their case by showing that Trump has shown no remorse, and thus is a clear

and present danger to American democracy because he could so new violence like this deadly

assault on the Capitol if he's not barred from holding office again.
