The core four. The four headlines you need to know. Here's a frightening stat.

Hospitals in the U.S. are the fullest they've been throughout any point of the pandemic.

But it's not just COVID this time. It's the flu and RSV as well. Hospitals are 80% full.

The only other time they were that full was this past January during the height of the Omicron outbreak. This time they're full of older adults and young children and babies. Many children's

hospitals are filling up their beds and cribs with

RSV patients, a respiratory infection that primarily affects children. And there are some parts of

the country where it's even worse. Like here in Washington, there are even talks about another

mass mandate to help control the spread of the three viruses.

After 10 months, Olympic champion and WNBA star Brittany Griner is back in America after the

State Department secured a prison swap with Russia. Right before the Russian invasion of Ukraine,

Griner had been arrested as she arrived in Russia to join her Russian basketball team. She was

arrested at the airport for having cannabis oil in her luggage. She was later charged with drug

smuggling and sentenced to nine years in prison. The swap with Russia sent Griner back to America

and America sent weapons dealer Victor Boot back to Russia. Boot had been arrested in 2008 on

terrorism charges and conspiracy to kill

Americans. While most people are happy that Griner is free and back on American soil, many people

still aren't sure if the trade was fair, especially because an earlier attempt at a prison swap

included getting two Americans back from Russia in return for the weapons dealer.
