It's been a brutally cold week

across the Midwest. We don't usually see this kind of cold until January. Overnight, brutal cold

from the Midwest? Sweeping into the northeast, wind chills dropping below zero overnight. It's the

coldest as Chicago has felt

since February. Freezing outside. It is freezing cold. Commuter is bundling up to battle the cold

as authorities open more than 250 warming centers to help those residents of the windy

city who may need them. Communities in the Northeast also expecting temperatures in the single digits and teens.
