December 16th in 2009, Avatar was released. I mean, I'm sure it was intentional,

releasing this new one on the anniversary, but I didn't realize they were doing that.

The sequel officially opens today, 13 years after the original.

All right, okay, let's jump in. We start with the top story. Again, today we'll start with

another quick update on that winter storm after working east across the entire country. New

York and New England are getting and now it's expected to bring noris their conditions.

I read that in parts of West Virginia and Maryland, they were reporting a quarter inch of ice on

the ground. More than five million people in Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire

are under winter storm warnings today and are being told to avoid unnecessary travel.

Several of those states may seem between 18 and 24 inches of snow. That's a lot. Good luck, everyone.

Let's go. Yeah, yeah, into some sports headlines. Now, I know the world cup concludes this weekend

and that's getting a lot of attention, but I wanted to mention that the NCAA Women's Volleyball

Championship is happening this weekend as well. The final match shall be played on Saturday in

Omaha. Is it a match or a game in volleyball? The Texas Longhorns will take on the Louisville

Cardinals who will be in the finals for the first time ever. That's cool. I know it's going to air

on ESPN 2 again this Saturday elsewhere in the sports world. LeBron James 2013 NBA Finals

game seven jersey is going to be auctioned off. It's expected to get three million dollars this weekend.
