We begin with the Artemis 2 crew returning home.

You are looking right there at a live look from NASA's view of the Orion Space capsule as it races towards reentering Earth's atmosphere ahead of a planned splashdown in the Pacific Ocean tonight.

Sam and Ginger staying by with a splash down forecast. What's next for NASA?

Transportation correspondent Geo Benita starts us off. Good morning, Geo. Hey, George, good morning. Yeah,

the countdown is very much on. Let's take a live look right now at the Artemis tracker from NASA.

The Orion is now much closer to the Earth than it was to the moon. The history-making astronauts

are almost home. This morning, we're just hours away now from

the galaxy's most anticipated homecoming. The Artemis two crew set to return to Earth

splashing down off the California coast just after 8 p.m. Eastern tonight completing their

10-day mission to the moon and back. We were asked, what are we looking forward to?

And I said, splash down.

And it's kind of humorous, but it's literal as well that we have to get back.

The final leg of the 695,000 mile journey will begin this afternoon.

The astronauts will don their spacesuits and reconfigure the spacecraft's cabin.

At 253 p.m. Eastern, the last trajectory burn to help keep the Orion capsule on course,

all in preparation for one of the most dangerous phases of the entire mission, reentry into Earth's
