0:32.0	Well it all popped off yesterday didn't it when I told you yesterday about how
0:37.2	Epic Games had enabled a direct payment option in Fortnite on iOS and
0:42.2	Android it sort of felt like they were daring Apple and
0:45.5	Google to ban them. Like, maybe they wanted to get punished. They wanted something to
0:50.9	happen.
0:51.9	It's a crap. wanted something to happen. Well, it turns out it was an elaborate, if somewhat obvious in retrospect, trap, laid by Epic Games, and Apple and Google walked right into it.
1:04.0	First, Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store saying,
1:07.2	Epic enabled a feature in its app which was not reviewed or approved by Apple,
1:11.6	and they did so with the express intent of violating the
1:14.2	App Store guidelines regarding in-app payments that apply to every developer who sells
1:18.1	digital goods or services."
1:20.1	Then, Google did the same, removing Fortnite from its Play Store arguing that
1:26.3	though its Android ecosystem is more open than Apple's App Store, EPIC's move
1:31.8	nonetheless violated store policies.
