This time, we are delving into the world of Professor extraordinaireus Sigmund Freud,

the pioneering psychoanalyst who mapped the human consciousness and scandalised the world

with his sex-fueled theories.

Over 100 years ago, he was one of the first people to try to find a cure for so-called illnesses of the mind.

His work has shaped modern psychology

and the way we talk and think about ourselves.

But Freud wasn't, and still is not, free from controversy.

That's right. His movement was called a mad epidemic, and his theories are matter for the police.

Early psychoanalysis was often men talking to each other about how to cure women, something that could lead to obvious abuses of power.

But the fact is that Freud made huge advances in our understanding of the mind.

He gave us access to parts of our subconscious that before he arrived,

we didn't really spend much time thinking about and certainly didn't think mattered.
