It's like so much history and it's so uncool most of the time.

So yeah, I'm tired of it. Let's stop having historic things or at least stop misusing the word historic for catastrophic.

I just want to witness a normal fucking day, Alyssa. I want to witness myself waking up in the morning and not immediately

looking at my phone and thinking, what fresh hell is in here now? I want to witness myself

leaving the house without a face mask on because we're not in the middle of a pandemic.

I want to witness myself meeting a friend face to face at a restaurant for coffee

or perhaps lunch or perhaps an afternoon cocktail or perhaps just to take a walk.

And then I want to witness myself coming home

and not watching the news and going to bed, not worried.

That's what I want to fucking witness.

Aaron, I gotta be honest, what I'm gonna witness

for the next while

are just like all of my Christmas trees up

because they're not coming down

because they're the only joy right now.

It's like, I can't take them down.

You can't take Christmas trees down. You can't take them down when there's sad stuff going on. That's just the rule.

You can't take your Christmas decorations down.
